Between the Mediterranean sea and the Thau Lagoon
Sète is an endearing town, nicknamed “L’Ile Singulière”; it is a town full of charm that lives all year round.
You will overlook it from the top of “Mont Saint-Clair”, you will stroll through the narrow streets of the old town, you will sit in the market to taste a “tielle” or a dozen oysters, you will attend a jousting match on the Royal Canal, go to attend a show at the fantastic “Théâtre de la Mer”, visit the “Pointe Courte” which has remained in its original state, or go to the beach… But which beach, so much choice?
Go to the Tourist Office, 5 minutes’ walk from the apartment, to be inspired: cultural visits, walks in the town, in the forest of Pierres Blanches, around the lagoon or further if you wish to take the car.
There’s a well-organized public transport network in the city and the region, but walking is no problem because everything is close.
Among the most famous sites, you can discover:
– The Espace Brassens,
– The Paul Valéry Museum,
– The picturesque districts: Quartier Haut and Pointe Courte,
– The view from Mont Saint-Clair…
